Customer Testimonials

"I took the defensive driving class for point reduction. Thank you for offering it online! I feel much better because I did something about my traffic ticket instead of just having the points added to my driving record."

New York Point Reduction Course

Beginning in 2009, New York drivers have the option to complete the Point and Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP) course online, as well as in the traditional classroom setting. Drivers will receive the same benefits from taking this defensive driving course regardless of the delivery method. When the New York driving class is taking online, it is known as the Internet Point and Insurance Reduction Program (I-PIRP). Both the classroom and the online version of this defensive driving course are subject to DMV requirements regarding length and content; the driving class must be at least 320 minutes long and include information about traffic safety issues, defensive driving techniques, and New York traffic laws. Our defensive driving course for point and insurance reduction in New York is approved by the NYS DMV.

Register Now

Once you register for our defensive driving class, you have up to 30 days to complete the course. During the point and insurance reduction course, you will be required to identify yourself with information given during registration. You will also answer questions regarding the content to ensure that you are taking the course.

When you complete an I-PIRP course, you receive the same benefits as when you complete a PIRP course in the classroom. Your driver violation point total can be reduced by up to four points, and you can save ten percent on your auto liability and collision insurance premiums. Our course is designed to make receiving these benefits EASY and affordable! You can take the New York defensive driving class from your computer at home (or any location you choose), at your convenience, at your own pace. You may log in and out of the course as many times as you wish during the 30-day period; your progress in the course will be saved, so you can always start where you left off in the course.

After you complete the New York driving class, we will mail your course completion certificate to you via regular mail. An email copy of the certificate will not be accepted by your insurance company for the discount; however, if you need your certificate quickly, we offer expedited delivery.

We will notify the New York Department of Motor Vehicles within ten weeks after you complete defensive driving school. The notice will be entered on your driving record, and the DMV computer will automatically lower your active point total by a maximum of four points.
